So here I am on the last day of 2012 and I feel like this year has flown by! So much has happened… I got married, I decided to run a half marathon, I moved back home, and I have realized many things about myself. I have grown as a person, as a partner, and as a friend. I challenge everyone everywhere to take some time today to write down their Plan for the New Year. I’m not big on “New Year’s Resolutions” but I do like the symbolism of starting fresh and working towards new goals. My hopes for 2013 are that women can stop obsessing over their physical appearance and quit using the media ads as a example of what they need to look like. I hope women can better understand their worth and stop settling for less than they deserve in life. I hope men speak out more and stand against the physical and emotional abuse of women. I hope they stop supporting over sexualized campaigns and try a little harder to make the women in their lives feel beautiful. My hope for us all would be that we learn not to be consumed by others lives and focus on the betterment of our own.
I have a lot to do in 2013 and although I am nervous, I am also very excited. I’m praying that in the next year I will further my business and gain the trust of new clients. I am eager to work with new girls and help them change their own lives. I can only hope to be inspirational, motivating, positive, and someone that people want to be around.
I hope you all find your passion in 2013. I hope you find happiness. I hope that health and love are constants. And I hope all of us are successful in whatever we choose to do.
Happy New Years Eve! And Good Luck in 2013…
